Managing director of Maku Free Zone Organization, Gholamreza Soleimani, referring to the capability of organization to export oil, said: 200,000 barrels of oil can be daily exported to Europe and Central Asia.
Gholamreza Soleimani, at the presence of producers, entrepreneurs and industry owners of Maku Free Zone, added: We hope we can use this capacity to expand our exports.
He referred to plans of organization to launch a logistics village in the zone and added: This area will be established on a land of 500 hectares with an aim of attracting investors and trying to export more and supplying raw materials at the border of Iran and Turkey.
He pointed to the $ 30 billion trade between Iran and Turkey, and added: in order to achieve this volume of trade, we should increase exports and our share of the agreement by using extensive border capacities.
Maku Free Zone is the largest free zone of the country and has a 140-kilometer border with Republic of Azerbaijan and a 130-kilometer common border with Turkey.
